Nicholas seems to be turning around. He's up more during the day and sleeps for four hours at a time at night. I can handle this for sure.

I've been asked for details surrounding his birth. There really isn't too much to tell, but here goes.

I went into the hospital at noon to be induced. They finally started the medication around 2:30. In a matter of a few hours I was dialated to a four so they gave me the meds. Thank fuck for that. You want to talk about pain? I don't think you even want to know. I am surprised my husband still has working bones in his hand. I nearly broke it on several occasions.

By 8:00 I was diated to a 7. By 9:30 I was ready to push. 45 minutes of pushing and he was born. I only begged for oxygen once. I thought I was going to pass out from holding my breath and pushing. Plus at one point I thought I was going to puke so I thought some fresh air might help. No time for that...I was told to push and the baby was born.

Pretty easy if you ask me. I thought there would be a lot more to it than there was, but I didn't see what was all going on down below. They asked if I wanted a mirror and I said no. My husband was down there and watched it all. I thought I'd get nervous and tense up. Either that or puke, of course.

I'm glad it's over and he's doing just great. He's eating like a champ and starting to sleep a lot better. I am going to be 36 in April so if we are going to try and have another, it will probably be later this year.

Yeannie, are you going to come see him?

That's all for now- I am off to wash some bottles and enjoy my son. It sounds good, doesn't it?
